Carolina’s based Sometime in February started as the instrumental solo project for guitarist/songwriter musician Tristan Auman. He  recorded the debut EP “Here Goes” with several studio musicians before bringing on drummer Scott Barber and bassist Morgan Johnson as permanent members. As a group, they craft their own unique texture of progressive rock and metal by combining pieces of post-rock and math-rock, as well as their past and contemporary influences such as Intervals, Haken, and Dream Theater. After the release of their debut LP “There Goes” in 2023 and playing shows up and down the east coast in 2024, Tristan, Morgan, and Scott have solidified themselves as a cohesive unit live and in the studio.

In February 2024 the band announced their signing to legendary prog label InsideOut Music with the release of the single "A Hiding Place." In July 2024 the band joined forces with Paul Waggoner, Dan Briggs, Eric Guenther, and Rich Castillo on their second release with InsideOut, "The Bad Fight." The band recorded a new album with Jamie King in summer 2024 and are gearing up for its release in 2025.
